About Kairos Medical Missions

Co-Chair & Co-Founder, Kairos Medical Missions

Monica Lederman is a cofounder of Kairos Medical Missions and has served as a Physician Assistant since 2005. She earned her Master of Medicine degree from Western Michigan University and has primarily devoted her career to providing compassionate, high-quality care in emergency and urgent care medicine.

Since 2017, Monica has partnered with Sowers4Pastors in Gracias, Honduras, serving families in remote mountain communities and developing a deep commitment to sustainable, Christ-centered medical outreach. Following God’s leading, she helped establish Kairos Medical Missions to expand access to essential healthcare and ease the burden carried by underserved communities in western Honduras. The organization also aims to broaden its reach in the future, extending medical support to underserved populations in additional countries as God opens doors.

She currently lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband, Joel, their two sons, Caleb and Liam, and their dog, Bentley.

Charlotte Andrews is a Physician Associate and Army veteran with more than 18 years of medical and military service. Her experience caring for soldiers, supporting humanitarian efforts, and working across cultures is where her heart stirred for global medical missions. As a surgical PA and leader, she helped found Kairos Medical Missions with a desire to serve vulnerable communities with excellence, dignity, and hope.

Charlotte’s clinical background includes Urology, General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Bariatrics, Aviation/Aerospace Medicine, and field medicine. She feels called to use these skills to partner with local clinics, strengthen community health workers, and bring hope to regions where medical care is limited.

Whether assisting in surgery, caring for patients in outreach clinics, or working alongside local providers, Charlotte believes healing happens through relationship. Her vision is to help build a long-term, sustainable network of medical support—beginning in Honduras and growing wherever God leads—so that every community knows they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

Kairos Medical Missions

My name is Beth Slanco and I am honored to fill the role of Secretary of Kairos Medical Missions. It is a blessing and privilege to be part of this organization designed to provide medical care for those living beyond the reaches of local medicine and hospitals.

The vision of Kairos Medical Missions aligns with Jesus’ instruction to care for “the least of these” and my personal passion to use my gifts for those organizations striving to meet that challenge. I have travelled to third world countries and witnessed firsthand the need for life-changing health care and the difference it makes in the lives of those most in need. Our mission to grow will provide this life necessity to more as time passes.

I am a retired administrative and customer service professional with a lifelong passion to positively impact the Kingdom of God while using my gifts of listening, organizing and hospitality. I’ve been married to Michael for 30 years and we have 3 grown daughters, 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

When not spending time with family or friends, we enjoy riding our tandem e-bike, hiking and snowshoeing. I spend a great deal of time in the summer with my flower and vegetable gardens.
